Community & School Partnership Highlight

We were delighted to recently be visited by Beads School and a chance to meet with members of the school leadership and chaplaincy team. It was a very positive and encouraging meeting, highlighting the school’s commitment to supporting students of all faiths and backgrounds.

One of the most impressive aspects of the visit was learning about the thoughtful steps the school has taken to support its Muslim students. The school has made arrangements to allow students to fulfil their Islamic religious duties on Fridays by attending Jummah (Friday prayers), as well as being mindful and supportive during the holy month of Ramadan. These efforts demonstrate a genuine commitment to inclusion, respect, and understanding within the school community.

This collaboration reflects a strong spirit of partnership and mutual respect between the school and the local Muslim community.

The embracing atmosphere from the school and the willingness of staff and the chaplaincy team to support students in practising their faith is truly admirable. It sets a positive example of how schools and community organisations can work together to create an inclusive and supportive environment for young people.

We look forward to continuing to build this relationship and exploring further opportunities for collaboration between Beads School and Eastbourne Mosque in the future, helping to provide meaningful experiences and support for students.
