Ramadan 2020

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Assalaamualaikum warahmatullah

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are happy to announce that in shaa Allah Ramadan will begin tomorrow on Friday the 24th of April 2020.

In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic there will be no prayers held at the mosque. This year will be a very different year since it will be the first year ever where no prayers will be held in the Masjid at all for the duration of the blessed month of Ramadan.

This difficulty gives us the perfect opportunity to reflect and get closer to Allah (swt).

Please do pray Taraweeh prayers at home with your family and encourage them to do tahajud prayers too.

Live with the Qur’an more and more.

InshaAllah there will be daily Quran recitation sessions for the brothers on Zoom every day at 06:30pm from the first day of fasting (invitation to follow through social media & WhatsApp) where 1 Juz will be completed every day by the participants under the guidance and supervision of Imam Abdelrahem.

All brothers are welcome to participate by reading or listening.

InshaAllah there will be a similar daily sessions for the sisters arranged by the sisters (invitation will be sent on EICC Sisters WhatsApp).

InshaAllah there will also be a daily duaas or ad’iyaa by Sheikh Ayaaz at 6.00pm from the first day of fasting.

This is the perfect month to be charitable. Please do charity and zakat more and more.

Please pay Zakatu Al-Fitr £5 per individual in your family. Please pay direct to EICC bank account or via Paypal. Here is the link. Please use “Zakat-ul-Fiter” for reference.

May Allah accept our fasting, charities and all acts of worship and make this month a source of blessing, unity of hearts and intentions and guidance for us all.

JazaakoumAllah khair
